“India Pakistan Amritsar” is one of the most searched topics on the internet right now. The reason is – a Pakistani missile landed near Amritsar. On early Thursday morning, around 1:05 AM, Pakistan launched a missile towards Jethuwal village, which is only 30 kilometers from the international border.
India’s modern air defence system responded quickly and destroyed the missile in the air. The missile broke into three parts. Some parts fell on rooftops, and one big piece landed in nearby fields. Thankfully, there was no major damage.
Punjab Police confirmed the incident and said the missile was intercepted in the air itself.

Earlier, on May 7, India launched a major military action against terrorists. The mission was called “Operation Sindoor”. In this operation, the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy worked together and targeted 9 terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
India used 25 missiles, kamikaze drones, and precision bombs during the mission. It was completed in just 25 minutes. This action was taken in response to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, where 26 innocent people lost their lives.

Tension at the LoC – 13 civilians dead
After the Indian operation, Pakistan started heavy firing along the Line of Control (LoC). In the Poonch area, 13 Indian civilians were killed and 59 were injured due to Pakistani shelling.
The Ministry of External Affairs said Pakistan has been breaking the ceasefire continuously since the night of April 25-26.
Pakistan’s fake news game
Right after the Indian strike, Pakistan started spreading false news on social media. Some political leaders and propaganda pages in Pakistan claimed that they shot down an Indian Rafale jet, which is completely false.
PIB Fact Check proved that the photo used in these claims was actually from a MiG-21 crash in Moga, Punjab in 2021.
Pakistan’s official pages and media are using old videos, edited pictures, and made-up stories to mislead people.
